Electronic Technician

Job Description

Performs electronics technician functions supporting engineering hardware fabrication, testing, and laboratory operations. Fabricates, assembles, troubleshoots, and tests electronic and mechanical systems using engineering drawings while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

• 5/40 1st Shift (Must be able to work any shift)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
• $25.00 - $35.00/hour

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2-4 years of electronics circuit card troubleshooting and testing
• 2-4 years of electronics troubleshooting
• Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams, can conduct physical and electronic tests on electronic assemblies and subassemblies, and disassemble and reassemble electronic assemblies and subassemblies
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards
• Be able to follow and execute procedures, standards, and sequences
• Attention to detail
• Experience with reading and interpreting process specs and drawings
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• 2-4 years of experience with electronic assembly and electrical testing
• 2-4 years of experience with diagnostic and repair procedures

• Job Duties & Functions
• Fabricates electronic and electrical chassis and mechanical racks using engineering drawings
• Performs troubleshooting, testing, and validation of electronic assemblies and subassemblies
• Supports laboratory operations and engineering development activities
• Conducts disassembly and reassembly of electronic systems and components
• Collaborates with customers and vendors to resolve technical issues
• Maintains compliance with safety standards and ensures an organized work environment

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• May require climbing ladders (3–5 feet)
