Fabricator

Job Description

Performs fabrication work supporting aeronautical manufacturing operations, including plastic and window fabrication, part identification, and work order completion under supervision. Supports production activities by assisting with inspection, maintaining work area organization, and following manufacturing procedures.

• $18.00 - $22.00/hour

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of related work experience
• Familiarity with basic measuring devices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, Bell technical drawings, and work orders
• Ability to learn and apply measurements, torque, and adhesive applications
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Job Duties & Functions
• Perform basic window and plastic fabrication under supervision
• Ensure proper part identification and record serial numbers for manufactured plastics and windows with assistance
• Assist with first piece inspection and completion of work orders
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Stand for extended periods while performing fabrication tasks
• Walk, bend, reach, and stoop throughout the workday
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to approximately 25 to 35 pounds
• Use fine manual dexterity for handling small components, tools, adhesives, and measuring devices
• Visually inspect parts and read detailed technical drawings and work orders
• Operate basic fabrication tools and equipment safely
• Wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as required
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, or chemicals consistent with plastics and window fabrication
