Job Description
Inspects general machining operations during production sequence to ensure conformance of all parts with customer specifications under Quality Control supervision and AS9100 certification standards. Performs inspection of parts before, during, and after production using standardized methods and precision measurement tools.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge & Operation of appropriate inspection techniques with readily available supervision
- Basic Technical knowledge of parts
- Basic Blueprint reading skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Manufacturing/machining experience
- Familiarity with hand tools, gauges, and surface plates
- Blueprint reading, math skills, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficiency in the use of inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gages to measure products and materials
- Good eyesight – 20/20 with or without corrective lenses
- Job Duties & Functions
- Visually inspects or checks parts using precision measuring instruments or fixed samples
- Checks dimensions and finishes against blueprints or job order specifications
- Performs finishing operations to correct rejected parts when required
- Assists with production activities as needed
- Reads basic blueprints and job orders for production specifications
- Adheres to Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policies
- Participates in continuous improvement activities and training
- Performs other duties as assigned
