Job Description
Performs end-to-end assembly of printed circuit cards, including manual and semi-automatic soldering, mechanical part placement, inspection, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality, reliability, and production requirements. Conducts soldering operations, mechanical assembly, inspection/testing, and documentation while supporting continuous improvement and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

- Schedule: 4/10-1st shift (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST) with overtime available on weekends
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- $20.00 - $25.00/hour
- Education & Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred
- 2+ years in soldering and mechanical assembly of circuit cards (military, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing)
- Proficiency with hand-soldering, wave, and reflow equipment
- Familiarity with torque specifications and calibrations
- Basic understanding of IPC standards
- Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and ability to read engineering drawings
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components
- Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) materials and handling
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM)
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data entry in MES/ERP systems
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform manual hand-soldering, wave soldering, and reflow processes on circuit boards
- Apply solder paste, flux, and alloys according to engineering drawings and IPC standards
- Monitor soldering equipment (temperature, conveyor speed, etc.) and make real-time adjustments
- Install components using hand tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic fixtures
- Align and secure components to maintain dimensional tolerances
- Conduct visual and automated optical inspection (AOI) of solder joints and mechanical fit
- Perform functional tests (continuity, power-up) and record results
- Document non-conformances and initiate corrective actions
- Complete work orders, lot tracking sheets, and time studies
- Log equipment parameters, material lot numbers, and test results in MES systems
- Participate in Kaizen events, 5S activities, and root-cause analysis
- Maintain compliance with EHS guidelines, IPC standards, and internal quality requirements

- Ability to stand for 8+ hours
- Lift up to 25 lbs
- Perform fine-motor repetitive tasks
- Exposure to solder fumes, flux vapors, and occasional loud equipment (ventilation and hearing protection provided)
