Job Description
Oversees Quality Assurance operations within a repair station, ensuring all inspection activities, documentation, and processes comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer specifications. Holds authority for return-to-service decisions on landing gear, plating, and accessory components.

- Education & Job Requirements
- A&P License
- 3 years of landing gear, plating, and accessory inspection experience with return to service authority required
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Preferred Skills
- Inspection Authorization (IA) rating
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required
- Use of FAA paperwork and regulations
- Auditing Experience
- Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to read electrical and structural prints
- Previous log research experience
- Customer service experience
- Job Duties & Functions
- Supervises and directs personnel assigned to the Quality Department, ensuring proper execution of inspection standards and procedures
- Coordinates with regulatory agencies, including FAA and EASA, to maintain compliance with applicable regulations
- Ensures all inspections are properly performed during in-process and final stages, validating completion prior to return to service
- Maintains inspection records, reports, and forms, ensuring accuracy and proper execution
- Updates and verifies all technical data for inspected, overhauled, or repaired articles, ensuring the latest revisions are in use
- Manages calibration of tools and precision equipment, ensuring compliance with required intervals
- Oversees receiving inspections of incoming materials, supplies, and articles for airworthiness
- Ensures inspection documentation and resources are available and properly utilized by personnel
- Monitors technician documentation, ensuring accurate log entries, sign-offs, and work order completion
- Collaborates with customers to support airworthiness requirements and operational needs
- Communicates effectively in English across verbal and written channels
- Executes additional job-related duties as assigned by management
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Lift and carry at least 25 lbs
- Bend, reach, and stoop when around aircraft
- Sit at desk and/or computer for extended intervals
- Routinely walking
- Prioritize and control workload
- Work with others in a professional manner
- Work with Quality Department personnel in the interpretation and communication of regulations
- Work with minimal supervision
- Perform the majority of duties in an office environment
- Occasional work outside hangars may occur
