Job Description
Performs maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and testing of aerospace vehicle systems and components, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, to support repair, configuration, and operational readiness requirements.
- Position Details
- Aerospace Maintenance / Military Support
- Full Time – Approximately through the end of the year (35 weeks, 4 days)
- Variable Shift (1st Shift 0700–1530, 2nd Shift 1500–0100; must be available for all shifts)
- Must be a U.S. Person
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- $38.08 - $46.60 Hourly
- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 4+ years of related aerospace maintenance, repair, or modification experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Significant experience with military avionics systems (3–5 years)
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word
- Hands-on experience in testing, repair, and configuration of aerospace systems
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Preferred Skills
- Military helicopter maintenance experience
- Experience supporting MH-139 Grey Wolf or similar platforms
- Familiarity with M240 maintenance and aircraft armament systems
- Experience handling chaff/flare systems and explosive components (squibs)
- Knowledge of IMDS systems
- Familiarity with AFI 21-101 and TO 00-20-1 technical orders
- Experience with aircraft explosive operations and munitions handling
- Prior military background
- Experience working with aerospace maintenance technical orders and documentation
- Job Duties & Functions
- Assembles, disassembles, and modifies aerospace vehicle systems and components to correct failures or implement changes
- Oversees and performs maintenance, repair, inspection, and overhaul of aircraft systems and subassemblies
- Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify faults and corrective actions
- Performs installation and removal of aerospace components and test equipment
- Conducts validation, verification, and functional testing of systems and components
- Configures aerospace vehicles and test equipment based on mission requirements
- Performs aircraft armament and conventional weapons system support, including loading and unloading operations
- Supports explosive operations, including safe handling, arming, and safing of munitions and pyrotechnics
- Documents maintenance actions, test results, modifications, and inspections for compliance requirements
- Ensures flight worthiness standards are met through inspection and verification activities
- Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with established safety and procedural standards
- Supports training activities and assists in operational readiness of assigned systems
