Job Description
Performs advanced soldering, rework, and mechanical assembly on circuit card assemblies, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with IPC standards in a production environment.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree + 4–8 years of experience or Master’s degree + 2–6 years of experience
- Possess 5 or more years of experience in soldering and advanced rework techniques
- Documentation of soldering experience
- Demonstrate strong understanding of electronics assembly and repair principles
- Possess proficiency with soldering equipment, including irons, stations, and reflow ovens, and soldering machines
- Experience with inspection equipment, including microscopes and X-ray systems
- Understand IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD standards
- Working knowledge of AOI and AXI inspection methods in quality processes
- IPC (Institute for Printed Circuits) certification in soldering and rework (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)
- Assemble and solder electronic components, including: Through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components
- Complete and pass a medical exam as required
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production deadlines and quality standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Display strong computer skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Job Duties & Functions
- Reworks circuit card assemblies, including BGA reballing, QFN repair, and high-density component replacement
- Executes soldering operations for SMT and through-hole components using hand and reflow techniques
- Verifies component placement, alignment, and orientation using microscopes
- Diagnoses assembly defects and implements corrective actions to restore functionality
- Develops rework procedures for new and existing products
- Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues
- Installs mechanical hardware, including stand-offs, spacers, and fasteners
- Aligns and assembles mechanical components using adhesives and bonding agents
- Maintains organized work areas in compliance with safety, ESD, and quality standards
- Documents completed work and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Works in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment
- Handles small components requiring fine motor skills and visual precision
- Utilizes microscopes and inspection equipment for extended periods
- Supports overtime requirements based on production demand
