Job Description

The Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer develops and analyzes printed circuit board designs, supporting electronic system development through schematic capture, simulation, and validation of digital and analog circuits. This role collaborates across engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure performance, compliance, and manufacturability of electronic hardware.

• Full Time, 1st Shift 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry, and 9 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 or more years of experience in PCB design, assembly, verification, debugging, troubleshooting, and repair
• Working knowledge of circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB design tools such as Mentor Graphics or equivalent
• Working knowledge of electronic interfaces, including DDR3, DDR4, PCIe, I2C, SPI/QSPI, and JTAG
• Working knowledge of VHDL or Verilog hardware description languages
• Proficiency in simulation, modeling, and analysis of electronic hardware
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Preferred Skills
• 10 or more years of experience in PCB design and related functions
• Expert-level proficiency in VHDL or Verilog
• Extensive experience with PCIe, DDR, I2C, SPI, and Quad SPI protocols
• Advanced expertise in simulation, modeling, and electronic hardware analysis
• Experience with FPGA design and associated tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical collaboration

• Job Duties & Functions
• Designs and develops printed circuit boards in compliance with industry standards and program specifications
• Defines design requirements in collaboration with internal teams and external customers
• Specifies PCB stack-up, electrical characteristics, component selection, and design tradeoff analyses
• Develops project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans with program management
• Creates schematics and performs layout analysis using PCB design software tools
• Conducts design reviews and provides technical feedback to improve hardware performance
• Performs signal integrity and thermal analysis to validate circuit performance
• Coordinates with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability and cost efficiency
• Documents design data, assembly instructions, and test procedures for hardware builds
• Supports prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities
• Monitors industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies in PCB design and electronics
• Supports sustaining engineering activities for existing PCB and system-level products
