Job Description

Performs precision machining operations to fabricate and modify aerospace components using manual and CNC equipment, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and production requirements. Interprets technical data, develops machining instructions, and supports production activities in a high-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Commercial Aircraft (787 Program)
    • Contract - 9 Months
    • 1st Shift; 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM; potential for overtime
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • $40.28 - $50.47/hour
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • 3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
    • 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting Machine Control Data (MCD)
    • 1+ year of experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Preferred Skills
    • 787 program experience
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • 3+ years of experience operating manual mill and lathe machines
    • 3+ years of experience setting up fixtures, operating, and programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines
    • 3+ years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including probing and using dial indicators to establish set points
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Reads and interprets moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set up machining operations
    • Fabricates out-of-sequence and emergent production parts using manual and CNC machines
    • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and associated geometry
    • Sets up and operates machining equipment, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis CNC machines
    • Assists team members in completing machining tasks and resolving production issues
    • Follows detailed verbal and written instructions to meet manufacturing requirements
    • Verifies part conformity using precision measuring tools and established quality standards
    • Coordinates with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
    • Maintains documentation related to machining processes and completed work
    • Supports continuous improvement and adheres to company safety and operational procedures

    • Regular and predictable attendance is required
    • Successful completion of training, including OJT or classroom instruction, is required as a condition of assignment
