Interior Technician

Job Description

The Interior Installer is responsible for removing, modifying, and installing aircraft interior components in accordance with technical data, engineering drawings, and customer specifications. You will support the overall appearance, comfort, and functionality of aircraft cabins while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The installer works with a variety of materials and tools to complete installations and repairs while maintaining accurate documentation.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience performing installation work on general aviation or corporate aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to interior work.
• Must have own tools.

• Preferred Skills
• Experience with upholstery, sewing, and light custom fabrication.

• Job Duties & Functions
• Remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, light structures, cabinetry, panels, and accessories.
• Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with company procedures, FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality specifications.
• Adhere to aviation safety standards, quality control procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Troubleshoot and repair interior components during installation or refurbishment.
• Accurately document all work performed, including deviations or issues.
• Interpret engineering drawings, installation instructions, and technical documentation to ensure compliant work.
