Job Description
The Software Engineer – Developer supports the design, development, and sustainment of full-stack software solutions for agile, cloud-based applications. This role focuses on building and integrating front-end user interfaces with distributed systems while following modern DevSecOps and Agile practices. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, develop features, and deliver scalable, software-intensive solutions that support data-driven operations. Responsibilities also include testing, troubleshooting, and presenting software functionality to stakeholders.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD degree + 4 years of related work experience, Master’s degree + 7 years of related work experience).
- 3+ years of foundational knowledge of object-oriented design and software patterns.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Job Duties & Functions
- Analyze high-level customer requirements and derive lower-level functional requirements.
- Perform software development tasks including detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing.
- Develop and sustain new and existing applications while troubleshooting and resolving software issues.
- Design and develop front-end user interfaces integrated with cloud-based systems.
- Contribute to distributed system components aligned with future architecture.
- Collaborate with UX teams and cross-functional stakeholders on large-scale systems.
- Present software designs and demonstrate functionality to customers, stakeholders, and end users.
- Support Agile and DevSecOps processes for software delivery and integration.

- Successful completion of training is required as a contingency for this assignment (OJT or formal classroom training).
