Job Description
Performs maintenance, modification, and repair of V-22 aircraft systems in a military environment, including assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and component replacement. Executes functional and diagnostic testing, identifies and resolves mechanical or electrical discrepancies, and ensures all work complies with established aerospace standards and procedures. Documents maintenance activities, supports verification and validation testing, and coordinates with engineering and team members to resolve technical issues. Operates independently while maintaining accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate’s degree + 2 years of related work, Bachelor’s degree, etc.).
- Experience with V-22 maintenance and modification.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes, including FOD control, tool control, and health and safety procedures.
- Ability to travel up to 30% to domestic military locations as required.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Preferred Skills
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Quality Assurance experience.
- Extensive depot-level modification experience.
- Job Duties & Functions
- Assemble, disassemble, and repair aircraft assemblies by removing, replacing, and installing aerospace components.
- Remove and replace components for repair, testing, or serviceability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical and electrical issues during maintenance and overhaul operations.
- Perform functional and diagnostic testing using monitoring instruments and automated test equipment.
- Conduct validation and verification testing to ensure system and component serviceability.
- Interpret and follow detailed instructions and procedures for modification, repair, and testing.
- Document repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection outcomes in accordance with established processes.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of maintenance procedures and assist engineering with discrepancy resolution.
- Identify and document discrepancies in parts and components and support reconciliation efforts.
- Perform visual inspections of components to verify cleanliness and serviceability.
- Execute aircraft modifications to meet deliverable requirements.
- Ensure adequacy, accuracy, and thoroughness of all maintenance and modification work.
- Coordinate assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities to ensure quality and completeness.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Work performed on military bases and in aircraft maintenance environments.
- Exposure to aircraft systems, equipment, and operational noise.
- Ability to travel domestically to support modification sites as needed.
