Applies engineering principles to support manufacturing processes, production readiness, and installation activities for aerospace products. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, resolve constraints, and improve product quality. Utilizes data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing performance and ensure timely delivery. Supports design reviews and provides input on manufacturability and assembly considerations.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 3 years, Master’s degree + 7 years of related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Level 4: 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years of work-related experience with a Master’s degree, or work-related experience with a PhD.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers.
- Experience with composite fabrication.
- Experience with 3D model-based instruction.
- Experience with tools such as IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, ICIDO.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESCi).
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Job Duties & Functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations leadership, and quality, to support manufacturing processes.
- Support daily build plans and identify and remove production constraints.
- Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for production improvement.
- Implement quality and producibility improvement initiatives.
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using engineering principles and data insights.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Must be able to perform mobility tasks, including walking, climbing stairs, balancing, working on stands, and kneeling, up to 10% of work hours.
