Job Description

A Corporate Aircraft Director of Maintenance (DOM) is a senior leadership role responsible for the airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance of a company's private fleet.Unlike a standard mechanic, this position focuses on strategic management, budgeting, and long-term fleet reliability.

    • Pay Rate:
    • Up to $38.50/hour
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Certification: A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory (Inspection Authorization (IA) is Preferred)
    • Preferred Experience: 3–5 years in a Supervisory or Management role in a Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Environment
    • Deep knowledge of specific airframes (e.g. Cessna Citation Jets) and turbine engine operations
    • Strong communication for liaising with Aircraft Owners, Pilots, and Regulatory Authorities
    • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and work in varying environments, including hangars and flight ramps

    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Manage all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to ensure constant aircraft readiness
    • Act as the primary point of authority for FAA (Part 91 or Part 135) compliance, maintaining accurate records, logbooks, and digital tracking systems
    • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, including part procurement, vendor contract negotiations, and cost-control strategies
    • Supervise in-house Technicians and coordinate with external Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
    • Implement and enforce Safety Management Systems (SMS), perform incident investigations, and ensure a clean, organized hangar environment
