The Lead Interiors Mechanic is responsible for leading and supporting a team of technicians in the maintenance, repair, and installation of aircraft interior components. This role involves overseeing daily assignments, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to support maintenance operations. The Lead Interiors Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring aircraft readiness and interior system reliability.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A&P License required.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in heavy commercial maintenance.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent supervisory experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, including SRM and GMM.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must have own tools.

- Job Duties & Functions
- Support and assist supervision of Upholstery, Paint, and Interiors teams, including assigning and prioritizing daily work.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical expertise to mechanics and team members.
- Oversee research of maintenance manuals and blueprints to ensure proper removal and installation procedures.
- Oversee removal of damaged interior components, including panels, to allow access for maintenance and inspection.
- Oversee repair, re-covering, and fabrication of seats, panels, and carpeting.
- Coordinate with other departments for parts procurement and scheduling.
- Assist with opening, tracking, and documenting work orders for non-routine tasks.
- Support supervision of installation of interior components, including panels, seats, carpeting, tiles, and galley cabinets.
