This role involves researching parts and materials, identifying risks, and developing recommendations to mitigate obsolescence impacts across military aircraft programs. The specialist collaborates with engineering teams, suppliers, and product support groups to develop supportability solutions and maintain accurate technical documentation. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 3 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s degree + 1 year of related work experience, 7 years of related work experience, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering, reliability, and supply chain data.
- Experience with data research, database searches, and data entry into spreadsheets or systems.
- Ability to develop recommendations and support decision-making based on data analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management and problem-solving methodologies.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

- Job Duties & Functions
- Establish and support DMSMS programs to address material shortages and obsolescence.
- Gather and analyze engineering, reliability, and supply chain data.
- Identify and monitor DMSMS risks and issues impacting aircraft readiness.
- Evaluate the impact of obsolescence risks on current and future operations.
- Develop recommendations and roadmaps for DMSMS mitigation.
- Interpret engineering and logistics data to develop supportability solutions.
- Support provisioning, spares analysis, and maintenance planning activities.
- Develop and maintain logistics support analysis records and reports.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for operations, testing, and maintenance.
- Support evaluation of aircraft performance, reliability, and availability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and product support groups.
- Conduct research and enter data into databases and reporting systems.
