Job Description

The Engine Technician is responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of aircraft engines, APUs, and associated systems in accordance with regulatory and company standards. This role involves troubleshooting discrepancies, conducting operational tests, and ensuring all work meets airworthiness requirements. The position requires strong technical expertise in turbine engine maintenance and the ability to interpret technical documentation. The Engine Technician supports overall aircraft readiness through safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance operations.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required.
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience on corporate jet aircraft.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience on Bombardier aircraft.
    • Proficient in engine removals and replacements, borescope inspections, and report writing.

    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform and document maintenance in accordance with manuals and regulatory requirements.
    • Inspect engines, APUs, and related systems for damage, defects, and wear to ensure airworthiness.
    • Interpret maintenance logs and discrepancies to troubleshoot and determine corrective actions.
    • Recommend repair, replacement, or modification of engines and components.
    • Perform installation, removal, and modification of turbine engines, APUs, and associated systems.
    • Repair or replace defective components using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
    • Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and engineering documentation.
    • Conduct operational checks and functional testing of engines and related systems.
    • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with standards and readiness for operation.
    • Assist with general aircraft maintenance tasks and support other technicians as needed.
    • Operate ground support equipment and assist with engine runs.
    • Assist with off-aircraft component repairs and mechanical or electrical installations.
    • Comply with safety procedures and participate in workplace safety initiatives.
