The Design and Analysis Engineer 3 supports the development, integration, and sustainment of electronic flight and digital connectivity systems across multiple aircraft platforms. This role involves designing networked systems, validating performance through lab and aircraft testing, and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver robust, service-ready solutions throughout the product lifecycle. Strong expertise in systems engineering, networking, and architecture development is essential.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years of experience in an engineering classification, or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years of experience in an engineering classification, or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification, from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Experience working with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Knowledge of network, hardware, and software systems and technical architecture.
- Experience in systems engineering, including system requirements, functional decomposition, allocation, integrated design, analysis, evaluation, and verification.
- Ability to translate high-level technical requirements into architecture and operational specifications.
- Experience with lab testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Job Duties & Functions
- Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers on the development of hardware, software, and interface specifications.
- Test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance.
- Troubleshoot issues with fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential application.
- Support airplane installation designs and certification efforts for network and digital connectivity systems.
- Develop operational use cases and evaluation methods.
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for architecture development and simulation environments.
- Develop and execute integrated test procedures and plans.
- Define and configure lab setups for testing.
- Create software scripts to support and automate testing and analysis.

- Ability to work onsite in an engineering environment.
- Ability to work a 1st shift schedule with potential for overtime.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
