Job Description
Ensures routine product conformance to design requirements by performing auditing, surveillance, and monitoring. This role identifies and documents discrepancies, segregates and controls non-conforming items, and conducts product reviews with customers during product or process verification. The inspector also identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action while maintaining detailed documentation and using precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Strong attention to detail, proficiency with blueprints and engineering specifications, and the ability to utilize Microsoft Office for reporting and communication are essential to success in this role.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School Diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate).
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc., are routinely used to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications: Essential for comparing received items against design requirements.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook):
- Essential for documentation, report generation, and communication.
- Strong attention to detail: A critical requirement for meticulous examination of materials and documentation.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Preferred Skills
- Relevant experience, 2-4 years, in quality inspection, especially in manufacturing or aerospace environments.
- Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Familiarity with quality standards and specifications, such as AS9100 and internal company standards.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Experience using quality management software (e.g., TIPQA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
