Develop and implement safety and airworthiness strategies, policies, and initiatives to support aerospace products and services. Analyze regulatory data, trends, and certification requirements while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve safety concerns and ensure compliance. Support certification planning, coordination, and execution across multiple teams, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and adherence to regulatory standards. Provide technical guidance and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and regulatory processes.

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s degree + 4 years of related work experience, 10 years of related work experience, etc.).
    • Certification processes experience.
    • Avionic systems understanding.
    • FAA knowledge or experience.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Develop, maintain, and communicate safety and airworthiness strategies, policies, and initiatives.
    • Research, analyze, and assess safety and regulatory data, trends, and developments for impact to products and services.
    • Apply technical expertise in areas such as airspace operations, human factors, air navigation, customer operations, safety management, policy, and regulatory domains.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and industry organizations, to identify and resolve safety and airworthiness issues.
    • Support certification planning activities, including creating, reviewing, and approving certification plan sections.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support certification processes, including testing timelines such as SOI, qualification, ground, and flight testing.
    • Track, update, and manage certification plan status, planning events, and deliverables using project planning tools.
    • Respond to safety and regulatory technical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support investigation of organizational factors contributing to safety and airworthiness issues.
    • Assist in the deployment and implementation of safety and regulatory policies, standards, and guidance.
    • Provide technical guidance and training related to safety and airworthiness matters.
