#Job Description*The Avionics Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Garmin glass cockpit avionics systems on corporate and general aviation aircraft.*This role ensures systems are operational, compliant with technical standards, and fully integrated with aircraft avionics.*The technician collaborates with engineering and production teams to maintain aircraft readiness and resolve complex avionics issues.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on avionics troubleshooting experience on corporate/general aviation airframes.
    • Proven experience installing and configuring Garmin glass cockpit systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and STC installation manuals.
    • Proficient in using aviation-specific diagnostic tools (multimeters, ohmmeters, pitot-static testers).
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Professional Attributes
    • Self-starter capable of troubleshooting complex avionics issues post-installation.
    • Preferred Skills
    • Capabilities in Collins Fusion software troubleshooting and loading.
    • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
    • Experience with other systems such as Honeywell or Avidyne.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Efficiently load Garmin software updates, configure LRUs (Line Replaceable Units), and perform ground-test checkouts.
    • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and data bus communication errors (ARINC 429, RS-232, CAN bus).
    • Assist with or perform installations of avionics systems and components per engineering drawings.
    • Use ramp test sets for Transponder (Mode S), Pitot-Static, and RVSM validation.
    • Complete repair station paperwork, including logbook entries and FAA Form 337.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces (tail cones, under floorboards, behind panels).
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
