Job Description

Supports electrical and mechanical manufacturing operations by developing, implementing, and validating build plans to ensure compliance with design and process requirements. This role performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis, develops integrated work instructions, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues affecting performance, cost, or schedule. Responsibilities include process improvement, production readiness, supplier coordination, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and program standards. The position plays a key role in enabling efficient manufacturing and test operations for aerospace platforms.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 2 or more years of related work experience (e.g., Master’s degree). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
    • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing.
    • Prior experience working with the Boeing Manufacturing System.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

    • Experience with space or military electronics.
    • Experience with manufacturing tools such as PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, or GOLDesp.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across disciplines.
    • Identify and implement conceptual designs and maintain program architecture for build.
    • Conduct producibility analysis to ensure manufacturing process capability meets requirements.
    • Provide producibility information for project plans and document best practices.
    • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
    • Resolve technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule.
    • Create and validate manufacturing plans.
    • Ensure production readiness of solutions and implement lean principles and technologies.
    • Collaborate with Supplier Management to establish lab test integration requirements.
