Job Description
Supports system architecture, requirements, and integration for complex aerospace platforms by leading the definition, decomposition, and allocation of system-level requirements. This role collaborates across multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with certification standards, guide design implementation, and execute verification and validation activities following the Systems Engineering V-Diagram process. Responsibilities include safety assessments, system modeling, technical documentation, and participation in design reviews, audits, and certification support. The position plays a key role in ensuring robust system development and alignment across hardware, software, safety, and test engineering disciplines.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 9 or more years of experience in systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace, automotive, or complex system domains.
- Extensive hands-on experience with requirements, design, implementation, verification, and validation processes following the V-Diagram.
- Knowledge of safety assessments, including FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, and FMEA/FMES.
- Familiarity with certification frameworks such as ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Job Duties & Functions
- Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft to system and item levels.
- Develop and maintain functional and logical airplane and system architecture.
- Ensure functional hazard assessments, preliminary system safety assessments, and common mode analyses align with safety objectives.
- Guide item design and implementation with traceability to all levels of requirements (DRO, SRO, SCD).
- Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model (item, system integration, and aircraft-level verification).
- Support safety analyses including SSA, FMEA/FMES, and compliance with aerospace regulations.
- Lead discussions across software and hardware engineering teams during design and testing phases.
- Provide documentation and support for certification authorities (FAA/EASA).
- Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and interchange meetings.
