Shipping & Receiving Runner

Job Description

Support shipping and receiving operations by transporting materials between warehouse locations, verifying shipments, and ensuring proper packaging and labeling. You will inspect incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and damage while maintaining organized storage and inventory processes. The position involves working with transport companies, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety standards. You will also assist with reporting, documentation, and general logistics support functions.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven experience as a shipping and receiving clerk or similar role.
• Forklift operator required.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google email, internet applications, and Salesforce.
• Ability to operate common industry power equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull, and carry materials and perform tasks requiring coordination and physical effort.

• Job Duties & Functions
• Transport materials and products between warehouse locations using pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Verify shipping and receiving records for accuracy, proper labeling, and packaging.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report discrepancies to management.
• Prepare customer shipments and ensure secure packaging for delivery.
• Maintain and organize shipping containers and crates, including supporting crate repairs.
• Input and maintain daily shipping and receiving reports and documentation.
• Take and upload images of customer property into the company database systems.
• Ensure proper marking, storage, and handling of materials and products.
• Clean and maintain warehouse areas to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and handling materials.
• Verify warehouse requisitions to ensure accurate product delivery.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Lift and move items up to 100 pounds.
• Stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders regularly.
• Work in a physically active warehouse environment with exposure to equipment and material handling operations.
