Job Description
Supports the assembly and fabrication of mechanical components, heavy structures, and wire harnesses, performing tasks such as drilling, bonding, fastening, and component installation. Executes planned work through work orders, designs, computer models, and established processes while collaborating with engineers to suggest design improvements and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The mechanic performs troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on assemblies and structural components, maintaining accurate documentation of inspections and completed work.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School Diploma/GED)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies
- Ability to obtain a security clearance post-start
- Experience with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining
- Familiarity with drawings, blueprints, and technical data
- Use of tooling such as torque wrenches, countersinks, drills, deburring tools, and calibrated equipment

- Job Duties & Functions
- Fabricate and assemble components and structural assemblies using standard hand/power tools and precision instruments.
- Install wire harnesses, fasteners, and structural elements per work orders and technical data.
- Maintain accurate buy-offs of completed work, inspections, and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and configuration control.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify assemblies and components as required.
