Interior Technician

Job Description

Perform aircraft interior maintenance, repair, and modification tasks to ensure cabin and cockpit components meet safety, quality, and operational standards in support of heavy commercial maintenance. Responsibilities include removing, installing, cleaning, and servicing interior components and emergency equipment while following maintenance manuals and supervisor directives. Maintain tools, records, and work areas in accordance with safety and operational requirements and provide support and training to lower skill levels.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Heavy Commercial Maintenance (examples include: B737, B737 MAX, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787, and MD-11).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must have own tools.

• Preferred Skills
• FAA Airframe “A” Certification.

• Job Duties & Functions
• Remove, install, and service aircraft interior components, including panels, insulation, floor panels, door thresholds, cockpit and cabin seats, overhead bins, window shades, carpets, nonskid materials, door slides and covers, life rafts, stewardess seats, air grills, and seat covers.
• Remove, clean, service, and replace aircraft components using special tooling and ground support equipment while following supervisor directives and maintenance manuals.
• Recover aircraft seats and armrests.
• Service aircraft emergency equipment to specifications.
• Perform duties of and provide necessary training for lower skill levels.
• Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition.
• Adhere to safe maintenance practices and maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department.
• Complete courses as required by the Training Department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
