Avionics Technician - Rotary-Wing

Job Description

Performs avionics installation and wiring tasks in support of commercial aircraft completion and customization. Installs avionics components, runs and terminates wiring, and assists with ring outs of installed wiring while interpreting electrical schematics. Works with minimal supervision to support aircraft electrical integration and related avionics installation activities.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 5+ years of avionics experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

• Preferred Skills
• Additional training in electrical installations or wiring may be a plus.
• FAA Airframe Certification preferred, but not required.

• Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.

• Job Duties & Functions
• Run and terminate wiring for avionics installations.
• Install avionics components on aircraft.
• Assist with ring outs of installed wiring.
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics.
• Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

• Physical Requirements & Environment
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and team lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders, and work stands.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire shift.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
• Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
