Job Description
The Helicopter Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on rotorcraft in accordance with FAA regulations and repair station guidelines. This role utilizes specialized test equipment for track and balance, interprets Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins, adjusts engine parameters, and performs hydraulic and mechanical diagnostics. The mechanic consults technical manuals and blueprints, maintains detailed maintenance records, manages inventory of aircraft parts and supplies, and collaborates with other mechanics and engineers to ensure aircraft are maintained to company and regulatory standards within established timeframes.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a helicopter mechanic, with at least 2 years on designated helicopters, including Airbus AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145; Agusta 109, 119, 139; Bell 206, 407, 429, 412, 505; MD 500; and Sikorsky S76.
- Must have an A&P License.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals.
- Extensive experience with power and hand tools, and knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, welding, and parts.

- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

- Job Duties & Functions
- Use test equipment for rotor system track and balance, and apply theory for adjustments.
- Interpret Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins for application on helicopters.
- Utilize measuring instruments, including dial calipers, micrometers, tensiometers, dial bore gauges, feeler gauges, and borescopes.
- Adjust and troubleshoot engine parameters, including oil pressure, Ng, temperature indication, and topping settings.
- Apply proper torque to fasteners using common hand tools.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and work performed in accordance with repair station guidelines.
- Inspect and repair aircraft in compliance with FAA or applicable regulatory standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions.
- Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and related documents for troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and maintain detailed maintenance documentation.
- Complete assigned tasks within allotted timeframes and to regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with mechanics and engineers to ensure aircraft operate safely and efficiently.
