Job Description

The Design and Analysis Engineer leads development and documentation of complex electronic and electrical system requirements, translating them into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications. The engineer tests and validates systems to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements, oversees supplier performance for system integration and compliance, and resolves issues with fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle. The role researches technology advances for potential application to company needs and makes recommendations for technology investments. Senior engineers provide technical leadership to teams in Avionics, Cabin, and Network Systems projects throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

    • Schedule: 1st shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
    • Experience working in an electrical design or systems engineering environment, with emphasis on electronic and electrical systems design and analysis.
    • Validation and verification experience.
    • Preferred Skills
    • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in avionics design and related avionics industry fields.
    • Experience with Flight Management Systems.
    • Pilot’s license, and/or experience working in the flight deck.
    • Good written and spoken communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail.
    • Boeing or avionics experience is a plus.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements.
    • Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
    • Test and validate systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
    • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and certification requirements, including ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254.
    • Solve problems with fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Research technology advances for potential application to customer and company business needs.
