Job Description

The Manufacturing Planner Level 3 develops and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to document as-built configurations. This role coordinates with mechanics on engineering drawings and specifications, integrates suppliers, processes, materials, and technology to meet delivery requirements, reviews and approves supplier data, manages tooling from design to disposition, investigates manufacturing issues, performs producibility assessments, and provides input to design and manufacturing processes. The planner also drafts, updates, and reviews procedures to support business and regulatory requirements while working under general direction.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate’s degree) and typically 3 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of related work experience, 5 years of related work experience, etc.)
    • A minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Planner experience
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience with CAD software
    • Ability to interpret and read 2D and 3D drawings and specifications
    • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data
    • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes
    • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office
    • Preferred Skills
    • Previous Boeing Planner experience
    • Experience with Gold ESP and MESCI
    • Experience with IVT, REDARS, WIRS
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations.
    • Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
    • Support mechanics with planning clarification related to engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
    • Review and approve supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
    • Develop and manage tooling requirements from design through end-of-use disposition.
    • Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues.
    • Perform producibility assessments and provide input to design and manufacturing processes to meet cost and schedule objectives.
    • Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory requirements.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Must be able to go up and down stairs and work in confined spaces
    • Shift work: 2nd shift, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
    • On-site work required; candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense
