Job Description

Perform airframe design activities related to the preparation, conversion, and release of engineering data. Ensure compliance with company Design Manuals, Best Practices, Customer Specifications, Military Standards, company procedures, Program Directives, and annual compliance requirements. Create detailed, assembly, and installation 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering bills of material. Review design definitions to ensure compliance with requirements. Support manufacturing, supplier coordination, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues while meeting program schedule and cost objectives. Work under the supervision of a technical lead and contribute to research, analysis, and technical solutions.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
    • A minimum of 2 years of airframe design or aircraft fuel system design experience
    • Working experience with composite materials
    • Proficiency in CATIA V5, V6, 3DX, or SolidWorks
    • Familiarity with GD&T
    • Professional Attributes
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
    • US Person required
    • Preferred Skills
    • Familiarity with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Maintenance processes
    • Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software such as ENOVIA
    • Experience supporting supplier coordination and manufacturing engineering activities
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Create detail, assembly, and installation 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering bills of material
    • Review detail, assembly, and installation design definitions for compliance
    • Perform detailed design assignments under technical supervision
    • Research pertinent data and develop engineering solutions
    • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and specialty personnel to resolve technical issues
    • Provide Manufacturing Engineering support during fabrication and assembly
    • Support supplier activities and travel to suppliers as required
    • Advance technical solutions through analysis, research, and compliance activities
