Job Description

Support advanced manufacturing and materials engineering by operating 3D printing and scanning equipment, creating CAD-based designs, and optimizing materials and processes. Conduct dimensional verification, quality control, and process testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate additive manufacturing technologies, provide guidance on metallic and non-metallic materials, including polymer matrix composites and alloys, and document manufacturing processes and improvements. Serve as a subject matter expert, provide on-site training, and assist in implementing robust, efficient production processes.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
    • A minimum of 2 years of technical experience in advanced manufacturing engineering focused on additive manufacturing.
    • Hands-on experience with 3D printing, scanning equipment, and CAD software.
    • Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials, polymer matrix composites, alloys, and structural bonding processes.
    • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
    • US Person for export compliance purposes.
    • Preferred Skills
    • SolidWorks or other CAD experience.
    • AS9100 experience.
    • Familiarity with material qualification programs and statistical data analysis.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Operate and maintain 3D printers and scanning equipment.
    • Design and create 3D models using CAD software for additive manufacturing and tooling.
    • Conduct dimensional verification and quality control of components.
    • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for additive and digital fabrication.
    • Provide guidance on material selection and processing methods.
    • Develop, execute, and document test plans and reports for new materials and processes.
    • Support capital equipment decisions and implementation of advanced technologies.
    • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Conduct on-site training to qualify team members on additive manufacturing technologies.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work performed in a manufacturing/engineering lab environment.
    • Ability to safely operate equipment and handle materials used in additive manufacturing processes.
