Job Description

Support testing of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems and components, including setting up and running automated tests, troubleshooting test systems, and maintaining calibration and software. Design and assemble data acquisition and control systems, develop software for test automation, and support environmental lab testing such as vibration, altitude, humidity, and icing. Collaborate with internal and external teams, document test procedures and results, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Manage multiple projects, provide technical problem-solving, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or other related field.
    • A minimum of 5 years of engineering or relevant aviation technical experience.
    • Familiarity with LabVIEW, MatLab Simulink, and MathCad.
    • Knowledge or experience with hydraulic actuators, valves, reservoirs, accumulators, pumps, hydraulic power packs, linear and rotary electro-mechanical actuators, ball-screws, roller screws, ACME screws, gears, splines, planetary gear sets, and electronic enclosures.
    • U.S. Person or eligible to receive an Export License.
    • Ability to transition to second or third shift as business needs require.

    • Experience with vibration, thermal, fatigue, endurance, limit, and ultimate load testing, column buckling, operating, proof, and burst pressures, impulse testing, and motors and controls.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Set up and run automated tests for hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation components.
    • Troubleshoot test systems, including multi-axis hydraulic loading, thermal control, motor controls, and data acquisition systems.
    • Maintain and calibrate test equipment and software.
    • Design and assemble data acquisition and control systems.
    • Develop software for test automation and data acquisition.
    • Support external lab testing for vibration, altitude, humidity, icing, and other environmental conditions.
    • Document test procedures, results, and anomalies.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
    • Manage multiple projects and work assignments effectively.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work onsite in engineering lab and test environments.
    • Ability to perform tasks at computer workstations and around test equipment.
    • Ability to lift and move equipment and components as required by lab operations.
