Job Description
The Product Repair/Modification Technician assembles, disassembles, and modifies aerospace vehicle systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading components to correct failures or implement changes. The role includes configuring vehicles and bench test equipment, troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, performing validation and verification testing, documenting procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, inspecting components for flight worthiness, and supporting training. The technician works under general direction and is required to complete all training and qualification requirements in a timely manner.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
- Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience are required.
- A minimum of 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.Eagerness to learn.
- Ability to prioritize and complete all required training and qualification requirements to meet contractual, regulatory, and operational expectations.
- Must be a U.S. Person for Export Compliance purposes
- Preferred Skills
- A minimum of 1 year of C-17 specific experience.
- Air Force experience.
- Structural maintenance experience.
- A&P License.
- Job Duties & Functions
- Assemble, disassemble, or modify aerospace systems and components.
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
- Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.
- Document procedures, repairs, test results, modifications, and inspections to ensure compliance.
- Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness.
- Support and oversee training as required.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- 100% onsite.
- Exposed to loud noises.
- Flexion/extension of head, bending at waist, kneeling, reaching overhead, twisting at waist, rotation of head/neck, standing, walking, crawling, crouching, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces).
- Carry/lift up to 35 pounds.
- Domestic travel 50% or more; possible international travel.Training will most likely take place in San Antonio, TX.
