Test & Evaluation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a System Test Engineer (Space Systems) to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for performing hardware and software verification tests on space systems and subsystems. Duties include configuration of test equipment, troubleshooting test anomalies, conducting data analysis, developing and verifying test methods, designing test hardware, software, and systems to meet requirements, reviewing and analyzing test data, preparing and publishing test reports, and archiving data. This role requires regular and predictable attendance and may require work on variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

• Schedule: Variable, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts; 2nd shift primarily

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• A minimum of 7 years of experience working with specialized test equipment and instrumentation using electrical engineering test methodologies
• A minimum of 7 years of experience performing automated tests and troubleshooting electronics equipment, hardware, and software
• Experience in software tools based on C

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

• Preferred Skills
• 9+ years of experience working in a lab and/or production environment
• 9+ years of experience with test instrumentation and/or test methods

• Job Duties & Functions
• Supports the development and verification of test methods
• Performs detailed test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definition to minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
• Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
• Designs test hardware, software, and systems to achieve test requirements
• Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements
• Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality, and fidelity prior to delivery to the customer
• Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
• Presents test results internally
• Archives data and reports
• Works under general direction from test leads

• Ability to sit, stand for long periods of time throughout the duration of your entire shift
• Ability to crouch and maneuver through tight production environments
