Job Description

A Fabrication Specialist is responsible for assembling precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components in support of aerospace hardware programs. This role includes assembling pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, and tubing installations; performing structural drilling and assembly; measuring tolerances using precision instruments; and working with torque specifications and mechanical clearances. The position requires interpreting established drawings and technical requirements to support complex component and system assembly within a controlled manufacturing environment. Successful completion of required contingencies and training is mandatory.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience in related mechanical or manufacturing work.
    • Able to use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
    • Demonstrate ability to assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
    • Demonstrate ability to assemble pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems.
    • Demonstrate ability to work with torque specifications and mechanical clearances.
    • Demonstrate ability to perform structural drilling and assembly on complex components and systems using established drawings and technical requirements.
    • U.S. Person for Export Compliance.
    • Preferred Skills
    • Experience working on a NASA program.
    • Experience in a clean room environment.
    • Manufacturing experience in human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware.
    • Experience in the installation and handling of tubes, valves, and fittings.
    • Experience in structural assembly, including match drilling of aluminum, titanium, and composite materials.
    • Experience with tubing and ducting installation.

    • Must be comfortable standing, bending, and crawling into confined spaces.
    • Ability to lift 10+ pounds.
    • Ability to work all shifts as required.
