Job Description

System Test Engineer (Space Systems) supporting the Engineering team in El Segundo, CA, responsible for performing hardware and software verification tests on space systems and subsystems. Duties include configuring test equipment, troubleshooting test anomalies, conducting data analysis, reviewing test data for accuracy and quality, preparing and publishing test reports, presenting results internally, and archiving data. Works under general direction from test leads and may be required to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.A minimum of 3 years of experience working with specialized test equipment and instrumentation using electrical engineering test methodologiesA minimum of 3 years of experience performing automated tests and troubleshooting electronics equipment, hardware, and software

    • Preferred Skills
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a lab and/or production environment
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience with test instrumentation and/or test methods
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Support development and verification of test methods.
    • Perform detailed test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definition to execute tests and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan.
    • Develop solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact.
    • Design test hardware, software, and systems to achieve test requirements.
    • Analyze, process, and format data to customer requirements.
    • Review test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality, and fidelity prior to delivery to the customer.
    • Prepare and publish test reports to document results and satisfy requirements.
    • Present test results internally.
    • Archive data and reports.
    • Works under general direction from the test leads.
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Ability to sit and stand for long periods throughout the shift.
    • Ability to crouch and maneuver through tight production environments.
    • 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
