Job Description
In this role, you will perform or assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems and structures, coordinate with Inspection and Maintenance Teams to ensure FAA compliance and proper documentation, operate ground support and specialized equipment safely, assist with aircraft movement, apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain organized work areas, use material tracking systems, participate in flight tests as required, provide guidance to less experienced technicians, and perform other duties as assigned, with responsibilities and supervision varying based on experience and certification.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills: read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, Repair Station manuals, and company policies.
- Safe operation of ground support and specialized equipment.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Trainee (Entry Level)
- Prior exposure to civil or military aircraft avionics systems is helpful.
- Enrollment in an A&P program is preferred.
- Direct supervision; focus on gaining experience with aircraft systems.
- Level 1
- FAA A&P certificate or 2 years of aviation maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Close supervision; perform basic inspections, repairs, and documentation.
- Level 2
- FAA A&P certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance or 4 years total (including 2 years on mid/large aircraft).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimal supervision; perform moderate-to-advanced inspections, train less experienced technicians, implement Lean processes.
- Senior / Level 3
- A minimum of 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 3 years on mid/large aircraft; corporate aircraft experience preferred.
- FAA A&P certificate required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Independent; lead modifications and maintenance, provide guidance, and advanced technical knowledge.
- Job Duties & Functions (for all levels)
- Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems, including airframe, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, landing gear, flight controls, engines, conditioned air, and anti-ice systems.
- Coordinate with Inspection and Maintenance Teams to ensure FAA compliance and accurate documentation, including work orders, CMP cards, parts change sheets, and shift turnovers.
- Properly identify, store, and protect customer property and equipment.
- Operate ground support and specialized equipment safely, including power carts, hydraulic lifts, tow tugs, forklifts, and oxygen/nitrogen service carts.
- Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.
- Apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Use material tracking systems to create parts demand, track work orders, and log labor.
- Participate in flight tests as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Advanced Job Duties & Functions
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians (for Level 2 and Senior).
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Must be able to safely operate ground support equipment.
- May involve movement of aircraft in hangar and ramp areas.
- Work includes maintaining clean and organized shop and hangar areas following 6S and Lean principles.
