Manufacturing Technician A

Job Description

Will focus on Laser Transmitter manufacturing and works within a cleanroom environment, performing day-to-day operational needs of the business. This position installs, aligns, and operates laser transmitters and components. He/She assists in the build techniques to ensure the successful product output from the cleanroom and laser operations area.

• Education & Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Must be a United States Citizen.

• Preferred Skills
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives

• Job Duties & Functions
• Develops techniques and procedures for building lasers
• Assembles and tests optical, mechanical, and electrical subassemblies
• Completes optical bonding, cleaning, and inspection of laser units with close attention to detail
• Builds wiring harness, solders and performs PCB assembly of electrical and electrooptical subassemblies
• Identifies problems and issues, resolves most issues, and makes recommendations for improvements in yield
• Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed
• Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values
• Performs job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Follows established processes to complete tasks
