- Role Summary
- In this role, you will perform electrical maintenance and modifications on F-15 aircraft, including wiring harnesses, connectors, and system components; troubleshoot electrical and environmental systems; read and follow engineering drawings and technical orders; perform assembly, installation, inspection, and operational checks; maintain equipment, certifications, and safety compliance; assist and train other team members; and support defect-free work in a production and depot maintenance environment.
- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical/electronic systems and aircraft electrical maintenance. Preferred on the F15 aircraft.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (1st and 2nd).
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (interim or final Secret, post-start).
- Ability to pass training assessment and maintain required training certifications.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag Out systems.

- Preferred Skills
- Experience with Depot Level or modification maintenance.
- Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, and riding-type electric powered elevating equipment.
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications to wiring and system components.
- Perform complex connector terminations, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
- Follow wire handling, routing, sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure instructions for harnesses and cables.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements.
- Perform assembly, installation, inspection, operational checks, and quality checks of aircraft electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and environmental systems of moderate difficulty at the organizational or depot level.
- Conduct bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in accordance with directives.
- Assist, train, and occasionally lead less senior employees on complex tasks.
- Perform duties of lower Electrical classifications as required.
- Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements.
- Maintain certifications, licenses, and permits as required.
- Ascend and descend vertical ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 35 pounds, and work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ensure equipment is used according to safety and operating procedures.
- Assist other team members (General Mechanics, Structures, Avionics) to meet cost and schedule targets.
- Comply with site tool procedures and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Lift and carry 35 pounds; occasional 2-person lifts for weights over 50 pounds.
- Frequent reaching overhead, walking, standing on flat and uneven surfaces, and balancing on ladders or steps.
- Occasional climbing on 3–12 ft ladders or stands, rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bending, stooping, and operating foot controls.
- Frequent exposure to noise and elevated platforms.
- Use personal protective equipment for the face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms.
- Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
- Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Occasional finger manipulation required.
