Job Description

Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems and components on multiple aircraft platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations. Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and mechanical systems, communicate work status with department managers and crew chiefs, maintain accurate maintenance records in compliance with FAA regulations and OEM manuals, follow company work order and parts requisition processes, maintain a clean and organized work area, repair and calibrate shop equipment, and mentor junior technicians while collaborating with team members to support production schedules and operational requirements.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • A minimum of 7 years of experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, and 145.
    • Experience with autopilots, flight management systems, navigation and communication systems, EFIS, aircraft electrical systems, lighting, and pitot/static systems.
    • Ability to prepare and maintain maintenance records in compliance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and company policies.
    • Ability to follow the company work order and parts requisition processes.
    • Preferred Skills
    • Bench repair and calibration experience.
    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
    • FCC license.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to develop technical skills.
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Troubleshoot and repair all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
    • Communicate with department managers or crew chiefs regarding problems, repairs, and work status.
    • Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspector.
    • Prepare all required documentation in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, repair station manuals, and OEM aircraft manufacturer manuals.
    • Learn, understand, and follow the company work order and parts requisition processes.
    • Maintain a clean, neat, and efficient work area.
    • Repair and calibrate shop equipment as assigned.
    • Mentor junior technicians and work collaboratively within a team environment.
