Job Description
Plan, lay out, and fabricate complex production and experimental metal parts and assemblies using a wide range of tools and processes. Interpret blueprints, work instructions, charts, sketches, and electronic orders to accomplish assigned work. Perform inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and troubleshoot issues within established procedures. Work under limited supervision, collaborate across departments, and serve as a resource to others as needed.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary or an Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Fully proficient in job knowledge, welding, and fabrication skills.
- Must have experience in TIG Aluminum.
- Experience fabricating intricate experimental and production sheet metal parts and final assemblies.
- Experience in inspecting fabricated parts to specified tolerances.
- Experience using shears, brakes, drills, sanders, degreasing baths, spray painting equipment, silk screening equipment, manual mills, lathes, MIG, TIG, and spot welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, charts, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues in straightforward situations while following established procedures.

- Experience working in a production manufacturing environment.
- Experience serving as a technical resource to other employees.
- Ability to communicate effectively with contacts within and outside the department to obtain or provide technical information.
- Job Duties & Functions

- Operate shears, brakes, drills, sanders, degreasing baths, spray painting equipment, silk screening equipment, manual mills, lathes, MIG, TIG, and spot welding equipment.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with specified tolerances.
- Identify problems in straightforward situations and follow established procedures to resolve.
- Communicate with internal and external contacts to obtain and provide information.
- Work under limited supervision with minimal peer review.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
