Job Description

Perform routine aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification in assigned specialized areas. Utilize the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and engineering data to develop repair schemes. Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification. Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel and leadership regarding work progress and difficulties. Complete required on-the-job training documentation and conduct operational tests.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • A minimum of 3 years of Commercial MRO experience
    • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
    • Experience on Boeing 737, Boeing 767, or Airbus aircraft
    • Preferred Skills
    • Flight Control systems experience
    • Landing gear, engine, hydraulic, and air-conditioning systems experience
    • Towing qualification preferred
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Possess intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and the assigned work area
    • Repair, modify, replace, or perform routine aircraft maintenance work in a specialized area of aircraft
    • Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or engineering data
    • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications
    • Communicate work progress and difficulties to co-workers and leadership
    • Complete on-the-job training forms and required reading
    • Conduct operational tests
    • Remove and install flight control surfaces and components as assigned
    • Perform weight and balance calculations for flight control surfaces as assigned
    • Perform rigging and operational testing of flight control surfaces, including autopilot, as assigned
    • Troubleshoot flight control systems as assigned
    • Utilize OEM and engineering drawings to modify structures and flight controls as assigned
    • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures as assigned
    • Remove and replace landing gear, engines, and air-conditioning systems as assigned
    • Rig landing gear and perform operational testing of gear and engine systems as assigned
    • Troubleshoot landing gear, engine, hydraulic, and air-conditioning systems as assigned
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Work performed in hangar and flight line environments
    • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and climb as required for aircraft maintenance tasks
    • Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as required
