- Role Summary
- In this role, you will be performing stress and load analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structure, equipment racks, and interior items. You will provide design support, detailed stress analysis, and stress support to liaison engineering for the modification of aircraft structure and interior components. You will apply classical analysis methods and finite element techniques to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
- Education & Job Requirements
- You must have
- A minimum of a B.S. in Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field of study.
- A minimum of 18 years of experience in aircraft structural analysis.
- Experience in the modification of transport category and general aviation aircraft.
- Proficiency in classical stress analysis.
- Proficiency in finite element analysis using MSC/NASTRAN and PATRAN.
- Experience in the analysis of aircraft structural repairs.
- Ability to prepare stress reports for aircraft certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of commercial and military aircraft certification requirements.

- Experience with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of commercial and military aircraft certification requirements.
- At least 1 year of previous experience with L3Harris.

- Perform stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Provide stress support for new design initiatives.
- Provide stress support to liaison engineering for modifications.
- Prepare detailed stress analysis reports for certification and internal use.
