- Role Summary
- This position is responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex avionics and electrical systems on aircraft. The role requires strong technical expertise, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and the ability to work flexible schedules in a production or maintenance environment.
- Education & Job Requirements
- You must have
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
- Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience.
- Military aircraft maintenance experience, including Depot, Isochronal, or Phase inspections, if formerly in the military.
- An FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or an FAA Airframe license.
- A personal set of tools.
- The ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions in English, both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Preferred Skills
- You will have
- A GROL certification or an Aircraft Electronics Technician certification.
- Certification from an avionics or electrical aircraft technical school or equivalent military training.
- Job Duties & Functions
- You will be able
- Install and test complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform and document all work in accordance with applicable manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Remove, repair, and reinstall avionics equipment prior to aircraft release.
- Assemble and install electrical components.
- Operate ground support equipment as required.
- Accurately diagnose avionics system issues.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs and work performed on aircraft.
