- Role Summary
- The Avionics/Electronics Technician – Evening Shift is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, and servicing aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems. This role supports safe, compliant maintenance operations while working collaboratively with other maintenance disciplines and adhering to regulatory and safety standards.
- Education & Job Requirements
- You must have
- Training from an avionics or electrical aircraft technical school or equivalent substantiated experience.
- At least 2 years of avionics work experience or equivalent substantiated experience.
- The ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
- The ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form regarding individual or aircraft status.
- Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate proper inventory and control.
- The ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment qualifications as required.
- The ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge, if applicable.
- Basic PC skills.
- Preferred Skills
- You will have
- A certification is required by the client for commercial aircraft.
- A General Radiotelephone Operator License or Aircraft Electronics Technician certificate.
- Experience working on corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft.
- Experience supporting multiple maintenance disciplines in a team environment.
- Job Duties & Functions
- You will be able
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.
- Perform and document work in accordance with approved manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Operate ground support equipment as required.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
- Assist with maintenance activities at off-site locations as required.
- Support other maintenance disciplines as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in 5S activities.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Adhere to general work requirements for factory, shop, and hangar positions.
- Physical Requirements
- Able to
- Work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
- Work outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather conditions.
