    • Role Summary
    • This position supports the in-service safety organization by leading and participating in airworthiness and regulatory compliance investigations for commercial aircraft programs. The role focuses on identifying systemic root causes of compliance issues and driving effective corrective actions that restore and maintain regulatory compliance across the airplane lifecycle. This position works independently while leading cross-functional teams and engaging with leadership, certification authorities, and technical experts to ensure continued product safety.
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • You must have
    • A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A minimum of 6 years of related work experience supporting engineering, safety, compliance, or regulatory activities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex technical issues to varied audiences.
    • The ability to work effectively with diverse technical and non-technical teams.
    • The ability to take initiative, lead cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • The ability to take ownership of work activities and ensure accurate, efficient, and timely completion.
    • U.S. Person status as defined by export control regulations.
    • Preferred Skills
    • You will have
    • Working knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, or similar structured investigation methods.
    • Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies such as the Boeing Problem Solving Model or equivalent processes.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience with commercial airplane operations, certification, safety requirements, or procedures.
    • Working knowledge of FAA regulatory compliance and Organizational Designation Authorization procedures per 8100.15.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with the FAA or other regulatory agencies.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial airplane systems design, analysis, or systems integration, including flight controls, hydraulics, avionics, or fuels.
    • A valid pilot’s license.
    • An Airframe and Powerplant license.
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • You will be able
    • To lead structured investigations for issues related to regulatory compliance actions, voluntary disclosures, self-audit findings, and airworthiness non-compliances.
    • To guide functional engineering teams through root cause investigations that identify problem statements, systemic root causes, containment actions, and actions to prevent recurrence.
    • To coordinate closely with engineering organizations, management, executives, and suppliers to ensure alignment on investigation status and resolution.
    • To collaborate with organizational authorization representatives to ensure investigation documentation meets regulatory expectations.
    • To partner with enterprise teams to improve investigation processes and tools in support of future program needs.
    • To communicate investigation results, risks, and corrective actions clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
    • To apply airplane-level systems thinking to a wide range of technical and regulatory issues.
    • To support a safety-focused culture by contributing to continuous improvement in compliance and airworthiness practices.
