• Role Summary
• Your role is to lead the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that support the company’s National Systems Programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software solutions using AWS infrastructure while ensuring engineering excellence and adherence to program objectives. You will drive architecture decisions, guide agile development practices, and provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle.

• Education & Job Requirements
• You must have
• A Bachelor’s degree within a STEM field.
• A minimum of three years of experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• A minimum of three years of experience with Python.
• Experience with software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process.

• Preferred Skills
• You will have
• A minimum of seven years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience leading an agile software development team.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience with React, Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Experience with infrastructure tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building regression test suites.

• Job Duties & Functions
• You will be able
• Lead the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Lead the review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial designs for software products.
• Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integration.
• Lead activities to develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products.
• Participate in the agile software development lifecycle, including planning, reviews, and customer meetings.
• Debug and lead the resolution of issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
• Lead the handling of user inquiries, troubleshooting of technical issues, and user feedback analysis.
• Lead research and implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.
• Lead the development, establishment, monitoring, and improvement of software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organizational goals and industry standards.
• Lead the execution and documentation of software research and development projects.
• Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
• Lead software project management activities and software supplier management functions.
• Lead tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance with project plans and industry standards.
