    • Role Summary
    • In this role, you will perform Electromagnetic Effects (E3) engineering for multiple defense-related aircraft programs. You will support efforts involving EMI/EMC, lightning, HIRF, EMP, and other electromagnetic environments. You will provide analytical and test expertise to integrate components into larger systems, support design modifications, and maintain continued airworthiness for the organization’s aircraft platforms.
    • Education & Job RequirementsYou must have:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, or physics.
    • Familiarity with Electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
    • A minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
    • U.S. Citizenship.
    • Preferred SkillsYou will have:
    • An ABET-accredited engineering degree or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering.
    • Experience in the defense or aerospace sector.
    • Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC.
    • Prior experience with aircraft-level Electromagnetic Environmental Effects.
    • Experience supporting EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRUs.
    • Familiarity with aircraft-level E3 requirements and bonding best practices.
    • Background in RF systems or computational E3 analysis tools.
    • Job Duties / FunctionsYou will:
    • Perform complex trade studies, modeling, simulations, and analyses for E3 system performance.
    • Develop solutions to achieve electromagnetic compatibility of wiring, electronics, and structure.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure compliance at the system level.
    • Report status, technical findings, and risks to program managers and customers.
    • Support project management through work statements, budget inputs, and schedule development.
    • Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.
    • Apply EMI engineering expertise to resolve complex technical problems.
    • Convert engineering data into usable tables and graphs for official reports.
    • Work on interdisciplinary teams and represent engineering findings in internal and external reviews.
