    • Role Summary
    • In this role, you will support the design, preparation, and release of engineering data for major aircraft subsystems, including Environmental Controls, Fuel, Hydraulics, Mechanical Controls, and related systems. You will ensure all design work meets best-practice engineering standards, regulatory requirements, program directives, and customer specifications. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and specialty teams to resolve technical issues, develop subsystem solutions, and support certification activities for the organization’s aircraft programs.
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • You must have
    • At least 5 years of aerospace design or relevant transferrable industry experience
    • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred (related degrees with relevant experience considered)
    • Proficiency with GD&T and general part sizing
    • Experience using CATIA V5, CATIA V6, or 3DExperience (preferred)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate design activities and report status
    • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
    • The ability to work within set cost and schedule requirements
    • Eligibility as a U.S. Person
    • Preferred Skills
    • You will have
    • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical design efforts
    • Experience supporting supplier or teammate design activities
    • Experience working across cross-functional technical teams
    • Job Duties / Functions
    • You will
    • Create structural provision and bracket designs using trade studies, research, and analysis
    • Create model-based definition including 2D/3D annotations for detailed parts, assemblies, installations, and bills of materials
    • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and specialty groups to resolve design or integration issues
    • Lead or mentor other engineers when required
    • Execute engineering tasks according to program cost and schedule requirements
    • Support supplier and teammate design activities
    • Apply engineering knowledge, standards, and technical concepts to develop solutions for complex subsystem design challenges
